PLAYSTANDS
The really unique thing about the collapsible Waldorf playstands I make is their ability to be taken down and stored without any tools. They use simple overlapping joints and nuts and bolts that are made of solid maple and walnut. The wooden bolts are just right for small hands and fit into the holes all over the playstand. The arches can be mounted in other places and become "car doors" or "wings." But that is just the beginning! I have designed lots of cool accessories can be "bolted" onto the playstands. I currently offer a sink, stovetop, steering wheel, easel, a higher shelf, and a simple wooden "erector set" with lots more fun stuff on the way. Silks or even bed sheets can be draped over the playstands to make a pretend house, castle, fort, or a great puppet show theater. They are built to last from 13 ply hardwood plywood, the best on the market (made in the U.S.A. without formaldahyde glues). Every part is designed to work with everything else (sort of like "Legos") and the wooden nuts and bolts connect it all!
